Yvonne has been a devoted horse owner for the past 18 years. Her present horse today is the same one she rescued after an unsuccessful racing career due to poor quality feet which could not take the stresses of racing. It was not by chance that this was the horse for her. With his registered name Five Sails and her employment at the time in the Five Sails Restaurant in downtown Vancouver, B.C., it left no question in Yvonne’s mind that this truly was the horse for her.

With little experience in equestrian and horse handling Yvonne delighted in riding Jimmy (nick name) out in Campbell Valley Park. As she looks back today, she recognizes the achievements they shared together knowing that they likely made out so well in the beginning because of their trusting relationship and a lack of fear on both parts for exploring new experiences .
As time went on Yvonne found her horse developing some health related concerns. These conditions could have escalated into more serious health related issues however Yvonne took the initiative to learn about natural therapies that would help him to heal. In her quest to help her horse get better a lot of research around acupuncture related therapies was done as well as the implementaion of whole food sources and supplementation. Her initial experiences with acupressure showed her the power behind this form of natural healing. Having witnessed the results with acupressure therapy left Yvonne with no doubt the power of the body to heal naturally.
Since these early days of discovery, Yvonne continued to study and apply different therapeutic modalities for her own horse. From Bach Flower Remedies to Color and Light Therapy; Micro-Current Ting Point Therapy to the amazing power of Essential Oils, Yvonne has experienced many positive results.

To achieve success in a chosen field,
it is important to recognize the value of practical
experience as the test for knowledge gained.
Only through application can we trust,
that which we have learned,
as tried, tested and true.
