| Yvonne & Jimmy |
Yvonne is a Certified Equine Shiatsu Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, Vita Flex & Raindrop Therapy Practitioner. She has taken courses with veterinarians and other related natural health care practitioners to enhance her knowledge of natural healing for both animals and people alike. Yvonne is presently taking her Aromatherapy Certification with the West Coast Institute of Aromatherpy. Yvonne developed At Ease Horse Care in 2005 and works in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley area in British Columbia.
Yvonne's greatest challenge and lessons learned were working with her own Thoroughbred horse which she rescued after two years of an unsuccessful racing career in 1991. With very little experience in horse handling Yvonne was able to step up to the plate to take on this venture. Shortly after her purchase of this horse, several health concerns came up with him; colic episodes, unruly behavior and serious bouts of hives and allergies leaving the horse depleted became the norm.
Using traditional equine medical care helped to address the symptoms but only until they would once again re-appear. Yvonne’s personal choice to help her horse get better was with natural care and a variety of different therapies.
In the 2008, Spring Edition of Aroma Scents Magazine, Yvonne shares the story of how essential oils impacted both the life of herself and her horse. Click here to read Jimmy's Story
